Lower Kuskokwim School District Bethel Facilites Manager in Bethel, Alaska

  1. In collaboration with Comptroller, develops and oversees implementation of Bethel facilities budget. This includes, but is not limited to, establishing appropriate staff levels based on projected workload, and budgeting for operation of the Bethel facilities.
  2. Assists in the review of designs and specifications for conformance with Lower Kuskokwim School District programs, building design standards and codes, accepted construction methods, budgetary limitations and life cycle costs.
  3. Oversees the ongoing development and implementation of the Bethel facilities Preventive Maintenance Program.
  4. Develops and implements a program for the evaluation of the maintenance and custodian programs for Bethel facilities.
  5. Oversees initiation and implementations of training programs for Bethel maintenance and custodian personnel.
  6. Oversees the day to day operation of maintenance and custodial work for Bethel facilities. .
  7. Assigns work to Bethel Facilities Department staff.
  8. Supervises Bethel facilities maintenance and custodial staff.
  9. Trains the on-site Bethel maintenance personnel in performance of preventive maintenance tasks.
  10. Insures record keeping functions including equipment cataloging, work order documentation, parts replacement records, etc., are initiated and maintained for Bethel sites.
  11. Performs benchmark inspections of facilities on a regular basis to assist the site administrator and local maintenance personnel in identification of maintenance needs.
  12. Evaluates skill levels of on-site personnel. Assists in development of maintenance training programs.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
