TE Connectivity in Berwyn, PA is looking for a Quality & Reliability Engineer to Recommend and implement process improvements and modifications. Support the implementation and training of quality standards and improvements to existing processes and documentation. Develop/Support Quality Management Systems (Global Systems Audit, Processes and Document control etc.). Work with New Product Development teams and other project teams to support Advanced Quality tasks. Design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data. Process monthly Cost of Quality KPI’s. Conduct training of individuals using quality reports. Assist with the deployment and execution of Quality objectives, KPI targets, goals, and quality initiatives. Prepare and update monthly and adhoc reports of Quality Performance Measures. (PowerBI, Excel, Tableau). Perform an active role in further development and continuous improvement of the quality management system. Report verbally and in writing to the Director / Manager regarding the progress and results of projects. Work in a matrix environment with personnel at a higher level. Liaison for the global quality team with other departments for strategy execution and continuous improvements. Telecommuting permitted. Requires 15% domestic/international travel.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Requirements : Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent), plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation.

Special Requirements : Requires 2 year of experience with the following:

  1. Quality engineering competency in various business aspects (Supplier, Customer & NPI).

  2. Data Reporting & Visualization Software (PowerBI or Tableau).

  3. AQE Core Tools (Control Plan, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA).

  4. New Product Development and Advanced Quality Planning.

  5. Quality Management Systems (ISO9000, IATF 16949, or AS9100 ISO13485).

  6. Working in a global team environment (ex: Europe & Asia).

  7. SAP Basic Quality Module.
