DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Title: Field Application Engineer

Job Summary: AMETEK CTS is seeking an automotive EMC focused Field Application Engineer who is a key part of the sales process and helps technically position Ametek CTS products to the customer needs. The candidate must be able to work in a diversified cross-functional team environment including the Regional Sales Managers, factory technical resources, and other members of the Ametek global team.

This diverse and challenging role combines technical EMC and standards knowledge with customer facing activities. It is appealing to those who are energized by solving problems while offering technical support for our conducted hardware and software products. On-site visits for customer product discussions, training, and troubleshooting will keep you connected with the EMC community and our customer base. As a Field Application Engineer, you will be a technical consultant for pre and post sales conversations, helping to identify the best technical fit and support for the customer's requirements.

Key Responsibilities: * Present solutions for RF, ESD, IEC, ISO, and Automotive Standards test requirements * Conduct technical webinars and seminars * Support post sales product training, technical conferences, and trade-shows * Help in the preparation of complex Technical & Commercial Proposals * Assess application requirements for potential new company products and solutions and be able to communicate these to the product development teams * Consult with service and engineering to help resolve highly technical problems * Develop strong relationships with customers and internal teammates * Participate in creation of product road maps and strategic sales initiatives * Contribute to the creation of marketing tools and literature including manuals, sales literature, white papers, and promotional literature * Remain current and up to date on new technology

Minimum Qualifications: * BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education * Possess strong presentation skills coupled with an in-depth technical knowledge of RF Systems, Automotive Transient Testing, Conducted Immunity Applications * Must be able to travel 50%+ covering North America

Desired Qualifications: * Ability to write code a plus * Passion for continuous learning in electronics technology and professional selling * Strong written & verbal communication skills * Sociable, people-oriented, enjoys customer interaction * Effective problem-solving skills * Independent professional that works best under broad and general directions
