Are you skilled in maintenance and electrical repair, with a knack for troubleshooting machinery? We're seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our facility and equipment. Here's what you need to know:

As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility is to provide maintenance and minor electrical repairs to our facility and equipment. You'll assist the Maintenance Manager in daily tasks, breakdowns, and troubleshooting of machinery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in installing, replacing, and repairing production machines and facility equipment.

  • Perform assembly, installation, and repair of wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, and machinery.

  • Conduct basic machinist tasks and utilize blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.

  • Utilize mechanical tools, meters, and material handling equipment.

  • Address grounds maintenance tasks including yard work and snow removal.

  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of two years' experience in general maintenance and electrical repair.

  • Welding and fabrication experience.

  • Technical training preferred, especially for exposure to high-speed equipment.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

  • Basic mathematical abilities and comprehensive knowledge of hand and power tools.

  • Forklift operation skills.

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Background or knowledge in electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems preferred.

  • Familiarity with basic computer programs like Outlook.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Involves frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and balancing.

  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.

  • Frequent use of eye-hand coordination and verbal communication.

  • Visual capacity enabling operation of machinery.

  • Ability to move between departments and buildings for collaboration.
