[*[Position Summary [[Primary responsibilities of this position include having a good working knowledge in the use of precision hand tools and measuring equipment and can-do assembly work on automation projects with no supervision. Provide guidance of Tier I Mechanical Assemblers to assist in their progression.

  • Ability to complete assembly work on automation project to print specifications.
  • Ability to work with project team members to complete work on time and under budget.
  • Ability to do plumbing (hydraulic, pneumatic, or lube) to print specifications.
  • Ability to use the necessary precision equipment/tools as required and assist in the building of automation equipment.
  • Ability to use other tools, i.e., manual mill, lathe, and surface grinder to produce quality parts to print specifications.
  • Participate in the debug and customer runoff activities of automation equipment.
  • Participate and offer feedback/recommendations on issues in project/floor meetings and assist in maintaining the whiteboard issues list.

  • Perform service on machines in the field as required.

  • Solid math background and skills.
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Working knowledge of the machinability of metals.

  • Minimum three years of machining background.
  • Skills in the use of precision hand tools and measuring equipment.
