Jacobs Process Engineer (m/w/d) in Berlin, Germany

Your Impact:

We're looking for Process/Chemical Engineers (m/w/d).

Location: Magdeburg (Germany)

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills. They will exhibit a passion and desire to apply their professional experience and knowledge in a team environment on technically challenging and professionally rewarding projects.

Our Process/Chemical Engineers:

  • Organize, assign, and delegate necessary engineering and design tasks to produce construction documents in conjunction with a team of engineers and designers

  • Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines to develop designs

  • Depending on the task scale, will lead or work within a team, or work as an individual designer

  • Take responsible charge of the process design, including technical accuracy, completeness, and quality of construction documents

  • Analyze and design complex Chemical, Gas, Waste and UPW systems, Manage Process Design Development through standard process design documentation including PFD’s and P&IDs

  • Exercise judgment in developing plans or alternatives and work with teams to assure quality plans

  • Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities

  • Review construction submittals for conformance with the intent of contract and design documents

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering

  • Minimum 6 years’ industrial design experience

  • Familiar with carrying out HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and safety reviews

  • Familiar with Hazardous Area Classification Assessments under ATEX or NFPA rules

  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English and German

Preferred requirements

  • Extensive experience in design of electronics systems or other advanced chemical process manufacturing facilities

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) status or working towards chartership/professional recognition
