Job Requirements:

  • Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes

  • Develop quality plans for products

  • Develop and implement corrective action based on root cause analysis

  • Develop lean manufacturing procedures, reduce product lean time, promote visual factory environment

  • Plan, commission and maintain machine and assembly production lines

  • Lead quality improvement efforts through training, communication and implementation of new processes

  • Manage equipment purchase and installation;

  • Prepare manufacturing documentation

  • Coordinate projects

  • Work closely with internal and external customers, as well as vendors to resolve issues and provide technical support

  • Key member of Product Design Team, working with Design Engineers to develop and introduce new products

  • Establish and maintain cellular layouts

  • Lead and direct meetings with other team members and hourly associates

    Knowledge/Skills:

  • Manufacturing Engineer with 3-5 years experience preferred. Will consider recent graduates with solid intern experience.

  • BS in Engineering and /or Manufacturing or equivalent

  • Lean manufacturing practices ( Kanban, Poke-Yoke, JIT, Value Stream Mapping)

  • Experience with Assembly Operations, Metal Machining processes and tool design

  • SPC implementation and practical application

  • Ability to think progressively and creatively while keeping the future of the company and its employees in mind

  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities

  • Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong Communication skills (written and public speaking)
