The Boeing Company is looking for a Tooling Mechanic - General Machinist to join our Tooling & Emergent Operations Team in Berkeley, MO .

Position Responsibilities:

  • Large structure fabrication and assembly is the primary responsibility of this position

  • Fabricate, maintain, modify, & install various forms of tooling, such as large and small engineering test fixtures, fabrication equipment, etc. in collaboration with engineering design teams

  • Utilize manual equipment to fabricate or modify various tooling components (Examples: Marvel saw, surface grinder, drill press, etc.)

  • Other responsibilities to include: Blueprint Reading, Welding, Tooling Inspection, Laser Tracking

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience working in a tooling, manufacturing or fabrication environment

  • 1+ years of experience with CNC machining in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associate's degree and/or trade school certificate and/or equivalent military experience

  • 1+ years of experience as a machine operator, writing and editing CNC programs

  • Experience in CAD/CAM software

  • Experience working with Mastercam

  • Experience operating manual mill and manual lathe machines

  • Experience using inspection tools (e.g., Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, CMMs, Laser Trackers, Portable Arms, Optical Comparators, etc.)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Shift:

This position is for variable shift.

The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.

Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of 120 calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required training and the probationary period.

This is a union-represented position.

This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $23.65/hour - $30.65/hour to start, with maximum potential to earn $46.37/hour, at top pay.
