The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Estimating Specialist to join the team in Berkeley, MO. Boeing’s Estimating Organization has multiple outstanding opportunities for experienced Estimating Specialists supporting the Boeing subsidiary, Aerospace Composites Center (ACC), formerly GKN.

This Estimating position evaluates requirements / statements of work received through customer requests for proposals, substantiates project estimates and assembles compliant, high quality price proposals. This individual is responsible for evaluating technical requirements, preparing labor and material estimates, and supporting the analysis of product cost and parametric modeling. This role is responsible for completing and communicating detailed analysis to support recommendations related to risk, executability, financial impacts, competitiveness, etc.

Position Responsibilities

  • Analyze specifications, statements of work, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for new business opportunities

  • Collect and review data and develop estimating techniques, including parametric estimating models, for use in preparation of estimates

  • Prepare analysis and verification of product costs in support of special projects

  • Prepare and review information for presentations to management.

  • Support contractual and price negotiations with government and commercial customers

  • Coordinate with customers and functional partners to clearly define program criteria to complete pricing proposals

  • Support, prepare and organize final proposal including executive summary, manufacturing, technical and pricing sections

  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in (MS Office Suite).

  • 10+ years of experience in business analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with blue print reading, model-based definition and related aspects of aerospace design and manufacturing criteria

  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing and fabrication processes, aerospace/aircraft structures and systems, and airframe manufacturer’s business, policies and practices.

  • 10+ years of experience years of experience in estimating techniques or labor time standard development

  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance requirements

  • Understanding of contractual agreements (FAR / TINA).

  • Strong analytical and planning skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range: $106,250 - $143,750
