Position Overview:

Provides patient care functions related to a variety of needs related to preprocedural and post-procedural care. All care providers are responsible to meet patient needs to the extent of their ability and training while fostering a harmonious work environment in which high quality patient care and customer service is consistently provided. Promotes a cooperative working relationship with care providers, physicians, other discipl ines and the publ ic by facilitat ing and enhancing communication, displaying honesty and respect, displaying sensitivity to cultural differences, and expressing and accepting feedback in a professional manner. The staff member in this position must be able to plan and provide healthcare interventions that take into consideration age specific needs for patients in the age o f adolescence, early middle and late adulthood.

Job Description :

EDUCATION

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

Phlebotomy Certificate within 90 Days of hire

Current BCLS Upon Hire

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

Minimum of one year recent clinical experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge:

• Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English.

• Able to write legibly and effectively present ideas; document activities; read and interpret written information.

Special Skills/Equipment:

• Phlebotomy

• EKG Testing

• Obtaining vital signs

• Training in body mechanics

• Basic understanding of universal precautions, including regular hand washing.

• Patient transfer

Pay Range is $28.03 to $34.13 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
