Position Overview:

According to established procedures, cleans building areas and equipment. Moves furniture, equipment and supplies. Removes and transports municipal solid waste, medical waste, and soiled linen. Performs these duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.

Job Description :

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Cleans assigned areas by washing walls, doors, door frames, vents, ceilings, patient televisions and windows. Strips and applies floor finishes and polishes floors.

Cleans assigned areas by washing furniture, fixtures and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions.

Dust mops and wet mops floor areas, vacuums carpets, spot-cleans carpets, and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion after cleaning assigned area.

Operates various types of cleaning equipment both mechanical and electrical, i.e. buffers, wringers, scrubbers, vacuums and carpet extractors.

Removes and collects waste from assigned area: washes waste containers.

EDUCATION

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Other: Able to speak, read, write English preferred

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

Minimum 6 mos. previous hospital housekeeping experience preferred.

Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Pay Range is $27.97 to $31.29 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
