Service Manager Responsibilities:

  • Directs, manages, and oversees the workflow of the assigned facility’s service and new bus prep activities to ensure efficient, safe, and economical utilization of team members, facilities, tools, components, and consumables, while ensuring customer satisfaction levels and meeting operational goals in relation to safety, quality, and service.

  • Continually monitors and analyzes key performance indicators and various records and reports for trends, with the purpose of monitoring departmental performance and maintaining or improving organizational efficiency.

  • Manages, coordinates, administers, directs, and reviews the assigned facility’s financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize service, and increase efficiency.

Minimum Requirements of the Service Manager position are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience in the medium/heavy duty truck/bus industry, with preference toward additional technical experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Computer proficiency in web-based programs and applications, Microsoft Office Suite applications and related departmental software, as well as dealership management system (DMS) system, to include researching and looking up information.

  • Financial management experience including P&L, budgeting, and cost estimates strongly desired.

Certifications or Licenses Required:

  • Valid driver’s license for state of residence must be maintained throughout employment, CDL with proper endorsements preferred.
