Hyster-Yale Group, Inc. (HYG), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Product Support Engineer I-III based at our Berea , KY manufacturing site.

What you will do:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for HYG service, customers, dealers, international, marketing and regional field service managers to offer support for Yale and Hyster products.

  • Approve warranty repairs of up to $2,000.00.

  • Suggest product changes to engineering, vendors and manufacturing plants to enhance product performance, reliability, serviceability and reduce warranty costs.

  • Compile technical and statistical reports to outline the costs and levels of customer dissatisfaction related to product issues.

  • Manage technical libraries consisting of sales, service, training data and test literature on both current and non-current products.

  • Provide support to Engineering and Manufacturing in selecting field test sites for testing improved components.

Who you are:

  • Proficient in problem-solving, with the ability to develop alternative procedures, components, and labor costs to address product failures.

  • Customer service-oriented, capable of efficiently handling high-volume incidents, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communicator who can efficiently connectwith all levels of the organization.

What you will need:

  • BS Engineering degree in Science or Engineering; preferred

  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in Lift truck mechanics and troubleshooting

  • In lieu of degree, 6-10 years of experience with Lift truck mechanics and troubleshooting.

Skills, Experience & Abilities

  • Interpret engineering drawing, wiring diagrams, schematics and welding procedures

  • Practical knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, mechanical construction, internal combustion engines and electric motors as applied to products marketed by Yale and Hyster

  • Knowledge to interpret engineering drawing, wiring diagrams, schematics and welding procedures

  • Specialized knowledge of lift truck applications related to stability, safety and efficient operation

  • Detailed knowledge of departmental and corporate policies and procedures and government and industry regulations concerning industrial trucks

  • Knowledge of failure analysis

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
