Position: Software Engineer III
Job Location: 702 S.W. 8th Street, Mail Stop 0215, Bentonville, AR 72716
Telecommuting/Working from home anywhere in the U.S. is permissible.
Duties: Implement new application features for RESTful service in Node, React, and Typescript. Implement caching, routing, rate limiting and redirect logic for new and existing request paths using Akamai and Torbit. Configure monitoring and alert system using Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk. Develop a user interface (UI) for internal application in Next.js and JavaScript. Enhance the existing CI/CD pipeline in Walmart native cloud platform for Rest service using Kubernetes and Docker. Document the workflow for complex issue resolution and follow up on requests for additional information. Support A/B test for various new features. Collaborate with software developers and product managers on different projects in an Agile environment. Telecommuting/working from home is permissible.
Minimum education and experience required: Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.
Skills required: Experience coding in programming languages Typescript and JavaScript. Experience designing and testing Relational Database Management System SQL Server. Experience configuring monitoring and alert system using Prometheus and Grafana. Experience using GitHub and Bitbucket for version controlling and code collaboration. Experience designing a user interface for an ecommerce website using Angular framework. Experience developing automated tasks using PowerShell script and SQL. Experience leveraging CI/CD pipeline for back-end applications using Kubernetes and Docker. Experience working with JIRA tool to plan, track, and manage existing and new requests. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: \$108,000/year to \$216,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
