Aerotek Cnc Machinist in BENTON HARBOR, Michigan

Description:

The candidate will be responsible for all setups, edits, and G-code as well as conversational programming at the machine. This candidate will be at the machine the entire day and running anywhere from 300-50 parts per day depending on the job. Some of the parts they make can fit in your hand and others you would have to use an overhead crane to move and setup into the machine. This candidate will be writing programs at the machine only for 2 Okuma lathes. The program software this person will use is specific to the machine but Mazak is transferable. Makes a variety of tanks from 5 gallons to 5000 gallons.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST:

-3-5 years of CNC Setup of Mills OR Lathes

-3-5 years of G-code programming, Candidates dont need to know how to input programs but need to know how to edit programs utilizing g-code

-Inspection of parts and usage of measurement instruments, specifically calipers and micrometers

PLUS:

-Okuma lathe experience

-Mazak programming (transferable)

  • Machining degree or certificate

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level
