We're seeking a Manager of Sustainability/Energy (Bensheim or remote) with a proven track record in a similar role.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee energy monitoring systems to track energy consumption across various plants and facilities.

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems (EnMS), including certification, recertification, and continuous improvement processes.

  • Analyze energy data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for energy savings and identify areas of improvements.

  • Prepare and present reports on energy usage, savings, and sustainability performance metrics to the leadership

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable energy management practices into daily operations and project planning.

  • Lead local teams in EMEA to deliver established EHS and Environmental Sustainability objectives and develop strategic improvement opportunities for the region.

  • Create inventories for such as energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) / carbon emissions, water and waste footprints and other environmental inventories including data analysis, emission factor development, calculation methodology and web-system deployment to drive digitization within EHS.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in energy management, engineering, technical, economic, or related fields.

  • Proven experience in energy management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting, with a strong understanding of ISO 50001 standards.

  • Experience with GHG Protocols, ISO standards, and EHS programs.

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex energy data and translate it into actions

  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects

  • Proficiency in energy management software and tools.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Knowledge of SAP, Power BI, and other tools preferred

  • Professional certification in energy management (e.g., Certified Energy Manager (CEM)) preferred

  • Fluent in English and German
