Job Summary:

We are looking for Maintenance Mechanic support operations by maintaining equipment, troubleshooting when problems arise, and repairing machines when broken down.They perform troubleshooting and repairs for all facets of modern automated equipment.This is a position where a candidate can continue to improve their skills and grow into more advanced roles.

Primary Job Duties:

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on automated equipment. Answer calls for maintenance quickly and fully prepared to make any repairs needed. Should be visible and readily available on the plant floor as much as possible to assist each other and all other departments as needed. Complete preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, both while running and during scheduled shutdowns. Maintain a safe working environment both in the maintenance shop and on the plant floor. Must be food safety minded with attention to details being critical when working on equipment or anywhere near the product. Provide and maintain your own hand tools, including, but not limited to wrench sets, miscellaneous pliers, socket sets, hammers, punches, etc. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience: Prior experience in plant maintenance or general commercial mechanic experience.

Education: A high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications: Previous working in the food industry is a plus. Strong mechanical ability. Electrical troubleshooting ability. Strong mechanical ability. Strong understanding of basic tools. Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs. Ability to work on your feet for hours at a time, and in hot environments. Food manufacturing knowledge is a plus but not required.
