IFF is very excited to welcome a newManufacturing Technology Leader (Process Engineering & OPEX)to our team, and we hope it’s you!
In this role you will directly manage the Manufacturing Technology team at the Benicarlo Site, which is our largest manufacturing plant for fragrance ingredients. Under your scope you have the responsibility of taking care and developing the technical skills and capabilities that are required and aligned with business needs in the following technical areas:
• Process Engineering
• Production Support
• Digitalization and Continuous Improvement
• Advanced Process Control and Automation
Your Key Priorities are:
o Ideation, execution and follow up the Productivity and Capacity Release portfolio.
o Leadership and development of the direct team and their capabilities
o Support local Operations team in the definition, design, execution and start-up of new production assets or existing assets modifications.
o Lead the introduction of new ingredients from Pilot to large scale.
o Manage the technical support required for Process safety management.
o Manage the MT technical support required from local production teams for troubleshooting and problems solving.
o Manage the MT technical support required for local Technology, Digital, Process Control and Continuous Improvement projects execution:
o Coordinate MT support to execute the local digitalization projects and to guarantee data historization works properly.
Job Requirements
Your Required Knowledge & Skills:
• Chemical or Industrial Engineering degree (bachelor’s or master’s)
• Demonstrated technical background in the chemical industry (ideally min. +10 years)
• Demonstrate experience in people management (ideally min. +5 years)
• Demonstrated background in process design and process safety management
• Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written)
• High level of commitment and empowerment. Be proactive and results oriented anticipating future needs
• Problems solving skills to define problems in practical terms, analyze, deliver options and follow through to solution
• Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate in an effectively and assertive way
• Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships, gain commitment and respect of others at all levels
• Delegation skills with right balance of supervision
