We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President to work as part of the wider business analysis project team with a focus on back & middle office business change, risk and regulatory initiatives.

The Quality Control (QC) Testing Team sits within the Client Onboarding & Reference Data Services (CORDS) department of the Firmwide Operations division. It is responsible for performing quality control reviews of customer records to ensure adherence with the Firm's Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. The QC Testing Team is considered the first line of defense and supports the customer onboarding and periodic review processes for Morgan Stanley. What you’ll do in the role:

• Guide and support testers in the review of client data and documentation, including client due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) information • Act as a subject matter expert on AML/KYC requirements and processes • Stay current with regulatory requirements around client KYC suitability and documentation. • Acts as a contact for audits and / or regulatory investigations where required • Monitor changes to firm KYC requirements, processes, and procedure • Identify and escalate issues including potential quality control, process, or policy issues • Report and escalate issues, risks, and concerns to senior management, as appropriate • Identify and drive process improvements, enhancements, and efficiencies • Identify and monitor changes in the quality of KYC production • Partner with key stakeholders across the firm to identify remedial actions • Promote Transformation Mindset among team and encourage the use of new tools and eliminate manual process to drive efficiency • Build and maintain strong working relationships with your team, Lines of Business, • Operations, Audit, Compliance, and Technology to ensure consistent quality delivery • Lead ongoing change initiatives and build/maintain a strong understanding of the relevant MS policies and regulatory environment • Identify training needs and opportunities for testers and KYC production teams • Share knowledge and experience with team members to consistently ensure a high level of performance

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Minimum 14 years of relevant experience in an AML/KYC role • Bachelors degree in finance, economics, or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience • Certification as an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist by ACAMS or equivalent AML certification/license • AML/KYC subject matter expert • Excellent understanding of KYC regulatory requirements and expectations • Outstanding attention to detail • Strong research and analytical skills & Strong investigation and due diligence skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong understanding of business, products, operations, systems and organization • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Proficient in the English language • Meet quality and performance metrics agreed under QA service level agreements • Think laterally and convey an understanding of the big picture, Identify issues, impacts and trends • Effectively coordinate teams / personnel & Assess relevant AML risks • Multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and prioritize effectively • Partner with various internal groups and stakeholders • Work independently and in a team environment • Take initiative, analyze, summarize, communicate effectively, and escalate issues to senior leadership appropriately • Identify remedial actions and comprehensive solutions • Handle highly confidential information with appropriate discretion • Work in a high volume, fast paced environment • Work in a matrixed organization, leveraging resources across the organization to complete deliverables
