Google UX Engineer, Constellation in Bengaluru, India
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in front-end development.
Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript development.
Experience with HTML and CSS.
Preferred qualifications:
4 years of experience with software development.
Experience using Google Cloud Platform and App Engine.
Experience with engineering artifacts, reliability monitoring and alerting, security and privacy practices and techniques, documentation, integration testing, production hygiene, and support processes.
Knowledge of front-end web technologies.
Ability to communicate with other software developers and stakeholders at multiple levels.
The Constellation team (go/constellation) builds tools that help Google create amazing products. These tools assist and empower design and research at Google by enabling execution, fidelity, and impact. The team works on the next generation of Google tools that are used by designers and researchers across the company.
In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to technical documents, including design, development, revision documents and reviewing code in compiled or scripted languages. You will work with the Product and Technical Leads to ensure the delivery of code that meets technical specifications and functionally integrates with other systems within and across Google.
Develop and maintain key software components for the team’s full-stack suite of products using modern front-end technologies and frameworks.
Participate in design reviews and conduct code reviews to ensure quality and integrity coding standards are met.
Contribute to the team’s engineering artifacts including reliability monitoring and alerting, security and privacy practices and techniques, documentation, integration testing, production hygiene, and support processes.
Assist in maintaining and building components of the product ecosystem.
Engage with internal engineering teams, UX designers, and product owners to manage new tooling features and functionality.
