Google UX Design Manager, Google Play in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience in product design or UX.

  • 5 years of experience leading design projects and managing people or teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.

  • Experience with enterprise, Business-to-Business, or productivity-focused applications.

The Google Play UX team supports the needs of both app makers and consumers by designing user experiences that deliver discovery, engagement, and innovation. The team works globally to design Google Play across devices, Games, Books, Developer tools, and to enhance Google's ecosystem for Play users and developers across Google's services and platforms

  • Advocate for Google Play users and app developers.

  • Define a strategic roadmap for the future of the Google Play product.

  • Drive both UX strategies and executions across the team, and define processes and best practices to advance collaboration across teams and cross-functional partners.

  • Attract, grow, and retain a multi-disciplinary team of diverse user experience talent.

  • Build relationships with Google Play leadership, as well as other UX leaders across Google to share best practices, create collaboration opportunities, and enable talent mobility.
