Google Technical Program Manager, Device and Services, Pixel in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager managing cross-functional programs.

  • 5 years of experience in Test framework, Test Methodologies and Automated Testing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • Experience in tracking and executing software deliverables and hardware variations. Program management or technical management experience leading large-scale, cross-functional test engineering programs.

  • Experience developing operational and product quality key performance indicators and solid technical, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

In this role you will join a team responsible for the quality of product and user experience of Pixel devices. As the Technical Program Manager, you will manage, support, and advocate quality best practices, processes, produce quality signals, and own quality improvements.

  • Support Pixel product quality programs in Power, Thermal, Bluetooth, Connectivity, Devices and Services, with leadership and cross-functional coordination to align testing activities across multiple Pixel teams.

  • Understand the end-to-end testing, various testing types, test automation and implementation path in order to execute large, complex programs. Manage and scale test programs by defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation, and successful on-time delivery

  • Coordinate across multiple testing teams and cross-functional development teams to align release timelines, test schedule, milestones and set clear expectations about responsibilities to internal and external stakeholders. Build positive, trusting relationships through consistent, on-time delivery of commitments and effective communication.

  • Build solid partnerships to drive process improvements and efficiencies that lead to better quality and increased productivity.
