Job Description Summary

In this role you will be responsible for providing data models for highly complex as well as parallel and concurrent releases for a Software Product. You will be responsible for the wing-to-wing execution DW activities with high quality outcomes to internal and/or external customers. This includes gathering and documenting requirements, building functional and technical specifications, and overseeing activity delivery. You will work independently at the same time collaborate with all other roles within the teams to ensure project meets organizational standards and customer needs.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Experience working Cloud Technologies (AWS required)

  • Experience implementing big-data solutions in the AWS ecosystem including Data Lakes.

  • Design, develop, conduct unit testing, and maintain complex ETLs for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.

  • Provide guidance for designing and implementing the data models to support business requirements

  • Provide expertise to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of data set.

  • Provide technical expertise in areas of Data warehouse/ETL architecture, design, and implementation.

  • A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management system, data modelling, and normalization.

  • Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 5-7 and Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision

  • Demonstrate awareness of industry trends and domain expertise

  • Demonstrate ability to influence customers and project managers through persuasion and influencing

  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems

  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts

Education Qualification

  • A minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in software development with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • 4+ years of experience working Cloud Technologies (AWS required)

  • 5+ years of Programming experience utilizing Python and SQL

  • 4+ years of experience in building cloud-native services and APIs to support and expose data-driven solutions.

  • 5+ years in a traditional data warehouse environment (ETL pipelines)

  • 4+ years of strong understanding of ETL tools specifically Talend.

  • 4+ years of proven expertise of DB/SQL performance tuning.

  • Good knowledge (5+ yrs) in RDBMS & No SQL databases.

  • Experience in database design and modelling for data warehouse and business intelligence applications, including relational database structures and normal forms.

  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills with complex technical subjects and tasks.

  • Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities.

  • Good knowledge (4+ years) of programming language – Java/Python.

  • Expertise with Source Configuration Management (Git, Gitlab)

• Good problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments

• Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems

• Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks

• Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective

• Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions

• Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas

• Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
