Job Description Summary

As a Staff. Software Engineer (Front End Development) for Marketing web applications, tools, and technologies, you will be working with Marketing, Brand and Design stakeholders to capture business requirements & wireframes, to lead the overall end-to-end of front-end application architecture, development and delivery, in partnership with backend CMS developers, QA Engineers and Business Analysts/Product owners. This role will ensure that your development and implementation facilitate secure, high quality and smoother releases; with the goal of driving faster time to production and fewer escaped defects.

This role would assume lead front end developer responsibilities in partnering with Designers, to consume the wireframes or Redlines and deliver the functional working business features that work seamlessly across various browsers, devices and CMS systems. Will be responsible the frontend technology stack selection, framework governance, best practice incorporation and sustenance of the framework.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom frontend web applications, Drupal themes, Marketo Email templates and Web Components.

  • Architect and build frontend web applications that meet WAI-ARIA, SEO and Core Web Vitals with good page speed grades, that are responsive across devices and browsers.

  • Be responsible and work within a team in charge of development of reusable UI component and services, to create a reusable UI component.

  • Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.

  • Understand performance parameters, assess and improve application performance.

  • Work with UX Designers and Researchers to implement UI components, applications and meet user requirements base on UX specifications and user feedback.

  • Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards.

  • Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology re-use.

  • Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products.

  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques

  • Provide technical leadership within a scrum team.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • 10 years of experience in Frontend Web application System framework design, Architecture and Development.

  • 8 years of experience with HTML, Handlebars, SASS, Typescript, JSON, ES 12/13 and Node

  • 6 years of experience working on React or Angular JS or similar frameworks.

  • 6 years of experience with XML, XSLT, YAML, JSON REST/SOAP.

  • 4 years of experience in developing custom frontend frameworks.

  • 2 years of experience developing component-based themes for Drupal/AEM CMS (Nice to have)

  • Experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Rally, JIRA, CI/CD)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong communication skills in listening, writing, speaking and presentation skills.

  • Work as an individual contributor, as well as lead major frontend development projects as a team with fellow frontend and backend developers.

  • Demonstrated track record of creating Frontend technology solutions to solve business problems (globally, or across multiple divisions or regions within a single company)

  • Active frontend certifications with strong desire for continuous learning

  • High attention to detail is essential with critical thinking ability.
