BD, a 125-year-old global medical device company has started its Research and Development Organization in Bangalore India which is BD Technology Campus India (TCI). This R&D center will be an integral part of the global R&D, in design related activities and full product life cycle management. Position Summary:

MDS is looking for a SW Test Engineer who has passion for learning, developing high quality, customer focused and impactful SW products. This individual will work in a team setting working to automate the product features and involve in end to end integration testing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing test plans, automation, and formal verification activities.

  • Work in a scrum-based agile development process which plans, and builds features targeted to a release.

  • Help in timely execution and delivery of product design verification and integration for compliance with applicable safety, security, and quality standards and procedures.

  • Champion continuous improvement in quality and operational excellence by establishing testing strategy and quality metrics.

  • Define, promote, and implement the strategic direction of test automation and an overall approach to test management, design, and automation to deliver with increased cadence without compromising quality or safety.

  • Provide guidance for product test strategies, selection of tools, and adoption of best CI practices. Helping the teams “shift-left” to reduce quality and integration issues.

  • Work with managers, Team leads, POs, PMO to improve practices.

  • Contribute to a team culture that values quality, robustness, and scalability while fostering innovation.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum BS/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in various elements of software testing and automation.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Able to create test scenarios, test cases, and bug reports.

  • Have knowledge of integration and non-functional testing of backend systems.

  • Good hands-on experience on API testing using ReadyAPI/Postman - Preferably knowledge on Rest Assured framework for API.

  • Prior experience in contributing to API Automation Test cases related to Sanity, Integration, and E2E flows across backend components.

  • Good knowledge/Experience with SQL queries.

  • Experience in testing of scalable distributed microservices based systems.

  • Experience with scripting and automation languages and toolsets (Python, Selenium, Robot Automation Framework, ReadyAPI, Jmeter etc.)

  • Knowledge in designing test automation to support CI/CD pipeline for software delivery.

  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, GIT other requirements, and test management tools.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance on automation/integration-testing workstreams.
