Job Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Cluster Networking team is building an ultra-high performance network required to support AI workloads. This is your opportunity to join the AI revolution and building systems which allow customers to scale from tens to thousands of GPU without compromising on performance.

This team will be responsible for provisioning, securing, scaling & operating the network stack required to run distributed AI workloads across a cluster spanning thousands of GPUs. We’re looking for a hands-on leader with strong management experience to help us build new features and grow our team. You should become comfortable with building sophisticated distributed systems involving the management and control of hundreds of thousands of network devices. These are exciting time at OCI. We are growing fast and working on ambitious new initiatives. You will be leading a team of software engineers in a fast-paced environment that requires agility and the drive to deliver.

You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. You should also be able to manage numerous projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, be results-driven, and thrive even when faced with ambiguity and uncertainty. Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of management experience in Networking/Cloud Software

  • Minimum 7+ years in large scale networking control and management plane

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Proficient with TCP/IP and Linux

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science and engineering or related engineering fields

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cloud computing & networking technologies

  • Experience developing service-oriented systems, REST, and Python.

  • Masters / Ph.D. in Computer Science

Responsibilities

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.
