Job Description

In this leadership role within our Data Engineering team inside Oracle Advertising, you will be able to use your experience to address engineering and business challenges with a team of highly hard-working and motivated engineers, to help us accelerate our high-performance data delivery platform. This platform processes upwards of millions of messages per second from our upstream partners and enables the entire OA business to deliver the needed data in batch or real-time to downstream ad platforms for targeting and measurement purposes. Our stack includes Java, Go, Scala, Spark, Akka, Pulsar, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes among many others. to this Responsibilities:• Architect, design, and implement highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Lead the development and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to automate build, deployment, and testing processes across multiple environments.

• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.

• Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

• Drive efficiency improvements through automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.

• Share a point of view and guidance on cloud-native technologies, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.

• Solve and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and application performance.

• Stay ahead of with emerging technologies and standard methodologies in cloud computing, DevOps, and infrastructure automation.

• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Collaborate with partners to gather requirements, define project scopes, and prioritize initiatives based on business needs.

• Ensure compliance with security standards, regulations, and best practices in cloud environments.• Work with fellow data scientists/SW engineers to build out other parts of the infrastructure, effectively communicating your needs and understanding theirs and address external and internal shareholder's product challenges.

• Leverage Cloud technology - Oracle Cloud (OCI), AWS, GCP, Azure, Heroku or similar technology.Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in cloud computing, infrastructure management, and DevOps

• Expert in at least one scripting language such as Python and Shell.

• Strong proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.

• Deep understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.

• Practical experience working in a cloud environment: Oracle Cloud (OCI), AWS, GCP, Azure, Heroku or similar technology.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and healthcare professionals, to understand requirements and develop scalable cloud solutions for Health and AI Services systems.

• Design, develop, and deploy multi-tenant cloud-based architectures, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security for handling sensitive data.

• Implement and optimize data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of health-related data from diverse sources, including medical records, sensor data, and clinical research datasets.

• Create and manage cloud-based databases, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and integration for AI model training and inference.

• Employ cloud-native technologies to enable seamless integration of AI algorithms and predictive models into the healthcare workflow, assisting with clinical decision-making and patient treatment.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standard methodologies for data privacy, security, and HIPAA requirements in the handling of protected health information (PHI).

• Monitor, fix, and optimize cloud-based systems to maintain dedication, availability, and cost efficiency.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud technologies, AI, and healthcare to propose innovative solutions that enhance our products' capabilities.

• Conduct performance testing and implement optimization strategies to guarantee optimal system response times and resource utilization.

• Collaborate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure data integrity and system availability during critical situations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or equivalent experience or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Proficient in programming languages commonly used in cloud development, such as Java or Python.

• Proven experience as a Cloud Developer or in a similar role, with a focus on building and deploying cloud-based solutions.

• Solid understanding of a cloud platform such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Familiarity with cloud-native development tools, containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.

• Solid understanding of security practices and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently or as part of a team, to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering impactful products that improve healthcare outcomes.

• You are familiar with components of modern infrastructure like service discovery, secret storage, software-defined networking, etc.
