Job Description

Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle Cerner platform team, will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. This role is within the Client Integration Services team, under ClientWorks Org and falls under OHAI as division of Oracle Health. The engineer will be working across multiple solutions, for all the stakeholders and clients we support. As an edge development team, we create custom solutions that help deliver innovation at scale for CommunityWorks and Ambulatory clients. We also support creation of solutions that temporarily fill functional gaps, and support creation of reporting and extracts that enables integration with third party vendors. As a Software Developer, they will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, testing, and implementing software solutions. They will collaborate closely with engineers, testers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Builds major new features in existing systems. Improves their team in some subset of engineering practices, ops practices, development process, ownership, mentoring. May occasionally collaborate across team Collaborate with other engineers, testers, and other stakeholders to write high-quality code and deliver it to clients in a timely manner.

  • Writes correct, secure, maintainable, robust code and appropriate tests. Drives design of their features & subsystems. Drives operational readiness & excellence of their features & subsystems. Collaborates on planning and identifying and mitigating risks in their systems and services across their director’s org. Drives design of features and subsystems across their director’s org. Work with product owners and product managers to understand client expectations on different projects.

  • Works independently on most projects. Sometimes needs guidance in areas that require experience building and operating mission-critical systems in industry, e.g., working across teams; making nuanced trade-offs; designing for security, concurrency, availability, performance, scalability, change; subtle Debug existing code to identify and resolve issues.

Basic Qualification Required:

  • At least, 4-6 year of relevant development experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent domain specific experience to functional area.

Skills Needed:

  • Proficient in SQL or similar query language

  • Intermediate problem-solving skills

  • Good understanding of product development lifecycle

  • Basic understanding of agile methodology

  • Good understanding of relational databases

For Oracle Cerner internal candidates only:

  • Knowledge of Millennium data models

  • Basic knowledge of Oracle Cerner Millennium products
