At DataLabs, Capital One India, we solve fundamental business problems at scale using advanced analytics, data science and machine learning. We specialize in deriving valuable insights about various aspects of the business - including product and process design, consumer behavior, regulatory and credit risk, and much more - from large volumes of data to build cutting edge patentable products at an industrial scale.
DataLabs is looking for senior product leadership to spearhead our foray into autonomous and intelligent data products that solve the full gamut of business and analytical needs. This role involves working with heads of lines of businesses in our Financial Services division to understand contemporary business needs, lead analytical teams to make impactful and actionable offers, and work with Engineering groups to lead tech delivery of large product builds. The role encompasses recruiting, developing and motivating an exceptional team that is drawn from elite campuses in India and abroad, and focused on our mission to develop world class data products.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using business, statistical and data analysis to make strategic recommendations
Product: Conceptualize and develop world class data products with exceptional user experience that typically leverage advanced Machine Learning techniques applied on structured and unstructured data
Deliver: Develop product architecture and deliver scalable, resilient, real-time and intelligent engineering solutions on Capital One’s cloud infrastructure. Develop hypotheses, tests, analysis and options; scope operational feasibility; lead implementation efforts and monitoring
Partnership: Work closely with business leaders across Capital One
What are we looking for?
Strategic & analytical orientation: A proven track record of data driven decision making and problem solving. Exceptional conceptual thinking skills complemented by rigor and strong quantitative orientation
Product Leadership experience: Experience in conceptualizing, designing and delivering large enterprise scale products. Able to lead/partner with large multifunctional teams comprising analytical, design and engineering skills
Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: Tenacious problem solver with good judgment and an open-minded approach. One who pushes the envelope but is rooted in ground reality
Strong communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communications, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Clear results orientation: Display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. Ability to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment
Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Level of experience: 8+ years, but not a constraint for the right candidate with relevant skills and work experience
Degree in a quantitative major from premier institutes like Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Management, Indian Institute of Science, and Indian Statistical Institute.
Relevant work experience will include but not limited to: leading product management functions delivering large analytical/ Data science products; some experience in working with engineering teams will be preferable
