Google Senior Financial Analyst, Google Cloud Consulting in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with a professional services business in the Technology Industry.

  • Experience generating insights/themes working with large and complex datasets and building models and dashboards (e.g., data visualization).

  • Knowledge of services/consulting, partner ecosystem, key metrics (e.g., bookings, backlog, business), P&L management, business generation recognition rules, and agreement structures.

  • Familiarity with the SaaS/Cloud industry.

  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics with cross-functional leadership, influence key stakeholders and form strong working relationships across business and technical functions.

  • Excellent investigative and modeling skills on SQL and spreadsheets.

The Google Cloud Consulting (GCC) Finance team ensures that Professional Services Sales, Customer Project Delivery, Customer Success and Account Management organizations make sound financial decisions. We are responsible for gain and Loss management, including forecasting/planning for business generation and expenses, financial reporting, cost management, analysis and evaluating strategic investments.

As an Executive Financial Analyst in the Cloud Consulting team, you will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning cycles while working with Central cross-functional teams. You will be responsible to measure investment efficiency, drive yearly planning and resource allocation (headcount/payroll and non-payroll expenses). You will also analyze and approve strategic agreements, help model economics, impact on plan/forecast and advise on non-standard terms. You will develop and upgrade critical finance processes, reporting tools, and track and allocate investments and measure their return on investment. You will coordinate the Finance execution of complex joint Go-to-Market Cloud partnerships.

In this role, you will play a critical role in partnering with regional leadership to provide visibility into business performance and influencing decision-making at a regional level.

  • Become a Finance business partner to the JAPAC Google Cloud Consulting VP, Strategy and Operations Leads, and Regional Country Leads. Understand the business and delivery cycle and services delivery process in order to give impactful recommendations on how to improve business performance.

  • Track, analyze and forecast performance (business and bookings), support GCC Sales and business goal setting.

  • Provide recommendations to improve gains in the profit and loss (P&L) based on financial analysis and critical thinking. Track business performance against P&L goals by working with cross-functional partners and communicating key results to leadership.

  • Partner with Google Cloud Sales Finance, Google Cloud Consulting Central Finance, Strategy and Operations regional and central teams, Controllership, Regional delivery and pursuit teams on planning, business performance analysis, insights, and rhythm of the business.
