Amazon Program Manager, ATS Air, IN Air Planning and Programs in Bengaluru, India

Description

As a Program Manager, you will work closely with internal stakeholders including Fulfilment Centers, Sort Centers, Network Design, Speed, S&OP and Last Mile operations team. You would also collaborate with external stakeholders such as carriers (airlines). We are looking for individuals with proven ability to drive process improvements & ability to keep pace with our explosive growth. The individual should have a can-do attitude and an ability to solve problems independently with limited guidance. Your role will involve managing operational metrics, lead continuous improvement process and cost initiatives, manage carrier communications in the area of ownership and plan for any changes in network.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Manage daily/weekly air haul schedule and associated systems

  2. Support IN Air network planning, carrier allocations, network expansion and peak scale up of capacities

  3. Management and liaising with carriers

  4. Tracking existing metrics to detect & remove any defects

  5. Continuous improvement management as well as development of SOPs

  6. Support initiatives on network speed and reliability for Air network

Basic qualifications

  1. 0-2 years of experience in operations/program/strategy/project management

  2. Experience in defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  3. BE/ B.Tech Engineering/MBA from a reputed university, Operations or related field

  4. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, excel, task prioritisation, follow-up, and customer service skills.

  5. Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment

  6. Ability to manage critical workload with a positive, flexible professional attitude

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in MS Access and SQL

  • Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
