The Boeing Company is currently looking for a Lead System Engineer – MBSE seeking to use Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodology and system modeling tools to design and manage the Business process modeling of the production Engineering process including interfaces, key performance parameters, and operational concepts. This position reports directly to the Systems Engineering Manager

Position Responsibilities :

  • As a lead of the MBSE team, you will be responsible for modeling of activities of E2E Production Systems Processes using MBSE methodology.Additionally, you will be responsible for designing, developing, verifying, testing and validating system models and simulations

  • Deploy Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology and Business process modeling of ERP, PLM and Manufacturing Processes for BCA programs

  • Perform system modeling ofProduction Engineering processes / Work Flows, for example., Plan to perform, Procure to Pay, PLM, MOM, Close to Report, Acquire to Retire Process using model based systems engineering, including architecture, interface and use case development.

  • Develop and extend system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents

  • Provide MBSE/SysML expertise and related support to the entire systems engineering team

  • Link / Trace system models to requirements, architecture, design, Manufacturing and ERP Processes

  • Proficient in the use of multiple architecture frameworks (for example, ToGAF, UAF), ERP, Design, Simulation, Manufacturing tools, and methodologies

  • Ability to identify and implement model-based architecture and engineering methods and standards

  • Demonstrate excellence in use of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and systems modeling methods, at least one systems modeling tool: (preferred) NoMagic, Magic Draw or IBM Rational Rhapsody; others considered if applicable

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires 8 to 16 years of Systems Engineering experience with the exposure to production Engineering, System design, ERP Systems, Manufacturing Tools and processes.

  • This position requires 4+ years of demonstrated experience on SysML methodologies.

  • Experience and familiarity with Cameo Enterprise Architecture and/or Rational Rhapsody software is Mandatory.

  • Experience in systems architecting and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) to Business Process modeling is preferred

  • Exposure to PLM, Manufacturing, ERP tools and Processes is highly preferred

  • Knowledge and understanding of various workflows, in an E2E product development with a system / system-of-systems environment is preferred

  • General familiarity with contract tools and capital equipment in an aerospace manufacturing environment

  • Strong Written, verbal communication with engineers, management, and non-engineering support staff

  • Familiarity with the Agile/SAFe Process

Typical Education & Experience:

Engineering Bachelor’s degree and 10 to 16 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and 8 to 14 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
