We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as the Director of Systems Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of innovative system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our R&D organization. You will lead a team of skilled systems engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for improving system performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of systems engineering strategies, processes, and best practices across the organization.

  • Oversee complex system solutions' design, development, and deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.

  • Manage and mentor a team of systems engineers, providing guidance, technical expertise, and professional development opportunities.

  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to define system requirements, develop roadmaps, and execute strategic initiatives.

  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends for potential integration into system solutions.

  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality system solutions.

  • Monitor and assess system performance, reliability, and security, implementing necessary improvements and corrective actions.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry organizations to support collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • 12+ years of experience in systems engineering.

  • Minimum of 8 years in a leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another related field preferred.

  • Experience in managing global teams and reporting from regions like NAMER, APAC to this role.

  • In-depth knowledge of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex system solutions' design, development, and deployment.

  • Strong understanding of software development, network architecture, and cloud computing technologies like Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor high-performing teams.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
