Description

We are seeking a talented Senior Platform Engineer to join our team, with a primary focus on GitOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) across AWS. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in fostering a positive team culture, leading by example to encourage learning, mentorship, and continuous investment in our employee-owners. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Terraform modules specifically designed for AWS multi-account organizations, ensuring robust, scalable infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and enhance cloud-native services, particularly those based on Linux containers and Kubernetes, to optimize performance and reliability.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members on GitOps processes to refine and improve infrastructure deployment and management practices.

  • Utilize Kubernetes, Helm, and Karpenter to support both cloud-native and transitioning applications, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.

  • Integrate modern security practices and tools into existing workflows to bolster platform security across various environments.

  • Engage directly with development teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance performance through the effective use of GitOps principles.

  • Share expertise in GitOps practices, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

Act as both a mentor and learner within the team, encouraging professional development and fostering a collaborative learning environment

  • The candidate should have :

  • Proven experience with DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and Terraform for managing multi-account AWS organizations, demonstrating a strong foundation in cloud engineering.

  • Proficiency in AWS services, deploying Kubernetes in production environments, and a thorough understanding of GitOps principles and tools.

  • Knowledge of platform security best practices, with a specific focus on AWS and GitOps frameworks, to ensure the integrity and security of our platforms.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

  • A proactive approach to learning, with a keen interest in continuously improving processes and exploring new technologies to enhance platform efficiency and functionality.

  • Preferred:

  • Experience with a broad range of tools, including GitHub Actions, Terragrunt, SweetOps, Atmos, Spacelift, and monitoring tools like Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus.

  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, NIST, NERC CIP) and their impact on cybersecurity strategies.

  • Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, and comprehensive knowledge of Kubernetes ecosystem tools including Karpenter, AWS EKS, Helm, Cilium, Istio, ArgoCD, or FlexCD, is highly valued.

  • Experience working in geographically dispersed teams, demonstrating strong capabilities in remote collaboration and communication.

Qualifications

The candidate should have a B.E/B.Tech/B.SC degree in Information Technology or any related field .The candidate should have a work experience of 7-10 years.
