Sr. Curation Associate, Amazon Fashion

As a Fashion Curator, our primary responsibility is to curate and manage the assortment of fashion products available on our platform. We work closely with the site merchandising, marketing, and Brand & Creative teams to ensure that our product stories align with the brand's identity and resonate with our target audience. This role also expects candidates to work with product and tech teams in pursuit of automating manual curation efforts to divert resources into more productive, efficient tasks.

Responsibilities -

Curation & Selection Experience

  • Stakeholder Management

  • Ideate appealing product collections and stories for an enhanced shopping experience.

  • Stay abreast of current fashion trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.

  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create engaging content to highlight curated items and tell compelling stories.

  • Analysing performance data for curations to make data-driven decisions regarding curation strategies.

  • Uphold and enhance the consumer perception through curation by establishing guidelines and continually improving the guidelines to maintain a high level of quality during curations.

  • PR & Social Curations - Provide on-brand inputs & share ASINs which have high perception building value for the consumers for various PR channels including social media, press releases, newsletters, and the company website.

Trends Forecasting

  • Identify key fashion trends through online & offline research

  • Create Repository of all fashion reports through the research

  • Highlight gaps in the assortment from a core and trend perspective

Wireframe & Store Experience

  • Ideation on Editorial-led Approaches in collaboration with the Content Team at a.in

  • Develop detailed wireframes for the fashion e-commerce website, considering user interactions, navigation flow, and overall user experience.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Creative, Site-Merchandisers, and Category, to gather requirements and translate them into wireframes.

  • Actively seek feedback from stakeholders and incorporate it into wireframe iterations, fostering a collaborative and iterative process.

Central Projects

  • Work end-to-end on Central Curation Projects like developing core and trend destinations

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, for central projects.

  • Align project objectives with the overall business strategy.

  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members to drive project success.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects and monitor performance against targets.

  • Utilize data and analytics to drive continuous improvement and optimize project outcomes

Building Relevant Selection [All Categories - Apparel, Footwear, Accessories, Inner-wear, Luggage and Travel Accessories etc] on Platform & Curation strategy for visibility -

  1. Fulfilling assortment Gaps: Identifying white spaces in Amazon assortment at attribute levels with close competitive knowledge via both qualitative and quantitive market analysis.

  2. Market Research and competition benchmarking to arrive at what assortment needs to be built based on what’s trending in the market or assortment held by ICs.

  3. Analysis of past sales data and top searched key words to arrive at the validation and feasibility of assortment gaps to be launched on the platform.

  4. SMU Development: Mentor potential brands and small vendors to elevate their fashion quotient in order to be relevant in the younger cohorts, at par with competition basis brand ethos, design language, price points & AT strengths etc.

  5. Brand Mentoring: Work with potential brands and vendors to grow them on A.in via forecasting, trend spotting, capsule/ collection building. Candidate must possess technical knowledge to be able to guide brands and vendors for building the right capsules, SMUs in terms of fabrics, trends, colours, prints and patterns, MRP, etc.

  6. Formulation of a trend guides/ aspirational design deck which consists of colour palettes, prints & patterns, suitable fabric types & silhouettes etc.

  7. Visibility plan: Build a visibility plan via curated landing links and stores for events, category pages etc to ensure maximum discoverability of specially made products.

Automation - the candidate will be expected to work with product, tech and ML teams to innovate and automate manual processes.

  1. In-depth knowledge of the process of curation, how landing links are built, scope of multi-purpose landing links, etc to be able to scout ways to automate and reduce manual hours spent on the same.

  2. Working with Machine Learning [ML] team to build and keep improving curation automation tool via continuous tool testing and feedbacks. [Past work experience with ML/ product would be preferred]

  3. Willing to work with external partners to help build and improve automation engines to elevate the user experience of the same.

  4. Project based work such as building a trend bank of automated curations which are sustainable and in-line with set standards/ guardrails.

Cross-functional stakeholder management -

The title requires candidates to be able to handle multi-functional stakeholders as the each of the projects/ tasks involves the expertise of varied talents and teams.

Skills and Qualifications

Mandatory

  • Deep understanding of fashion trends, styles, and the ability to predict market demands.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and vendors.

  • Proficiency in using e-commerce platforms, content management systems, and familiarity with merchandising tools.

  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and design.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.

  • Good with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree from a reputed Fashion college, or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience [preferably relevant experience in e-commerce within charters related Curation/ Buying and Merchandising]

Basic Qualifications
