Cargill Carrier Support Service - Analyst in Bengaluru, India

Job Purpose and Impact

This candidate will be part of a team responsible for Carrier Support for multiple Business Units using SAP and other Transportation legacy systems. The principle responsibilities include assuring timely and accurate payment of freight invoices, maintenance of rates, managing related data, and resolving carrier queries. This role requires the individual to co-ordinate with both internal and external stakeholders like Business as well as Carriers. He/she will be supporting the Process lead in troubleshoot issues by coordinating with carriers, other Cargill Transportation and Logistics teams, and BUs to facilitate timely payment to carriers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely via the appropriate systems and processes. Investigate and resolve issues with the carrier. Manage TRASPORTATION data in SAP and other legacy systems. Work with level 1 support team to troubleshoot and resolve data issues.

  • Manage resolution of data requests within the SLA to ensure timely payment to carriers. Execute all the processes effectively and efficiently with appropriate documentation and controls.

  • Work with Business Units and Transportation team to evaluate opportunities, resolve system issues, and stream-line processes. Help others understand how their decisions impact system efficiency and utilization. Assist teams with TM data gathering, testing, and implementation.

  • Work with SAP/legacy and other development team on TM/legacy system enhancements and resolution of issues( if required )

  • Work actively on CI initiatives and implement any improvement areas for the processes

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with focus in Transportation & Logistics, Finance or International Trade Experience and 5 years of work experience in the relevant field.

  • Knowledge of transportation industry

  • Experience in accounts payable, Tender management

  • Experience maintaining contracts

  • Computer proficiency, Analytical tools (Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel and Word.

  • Minimum 1-3 yrs of experience in domestic operations, specially Freight Invoice processing and reconciliation, data and contract mgmt.

  • Minimum 2-3 yrs. of experience in export/import one of the following: Freight Payables, Freight Management, Vendor payment process SAP, or JDE

  • Willing to travel

  • Strong communication and team spirit

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions in the business.

  • Effective decision making and problem solving
