Job Description

Oracle Cerner is elated to hire for the role of Business Intelligence Analyst I. As a Business Intelligence Analyst I, you will articulate key process flows and stakeholders. You will also describe and manipulate data sets, sources, and structures. You will gather requirements and manage multiple inputs and priorities. You will also develop reporting to make data more meaningful to business initiatives. You will analyze data quantitatively and qualitatively and communicate findings. You will also identify root cause of problems with reports or data sets within the domain. You will collaborate on data quality conditions and monitoring with domain business subject matter experts.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:

  • At least 2 year business analytics work experience.

  • At least 4 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Analytics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

At least two years of experience in SQL - Views and Stored Procedure, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Oracle BI

Expectations:

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed.

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within the scope of position.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

  • Interpret data and turn it into actionable information for decision-making.

Report Development:

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant metrics.

  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of reports by validating and cleansing data.

Data Modeling:

  • Assist in designing and implementing data models to support business requirements.

  • Work with databases and data warehouses to organize and structure data for analysis.

Data Extraction and Transformation:

  • Extract data from various sources and transform it into usable formats.

  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across different datasets.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytical needs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, to ensure data availability and accuracy.

Trend Analysis:

  • Identify and analyze trends and patterns in data to provide insights into business performance.

  • Make recommendations based on data-driven findings.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with industry trends, BI tools, and technologies.

  • Propose and implement improvements to existing processes and reporting mechanisms.

Documentation:

  • Document data analysis processes, data definitions, and report specifications.

  • Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Quality Assurance:

  • Perform quality checks on data and reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.

  • Address user inquiries and assist in troubleshooting.

Project Management:

  • Contribute to BI projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business goals.

  • Work within project teams to achieve objectives and deliverables.

Compliance:

  • Ensure that BI practices comply with data governance and security policies.

  • Adhere to regulatory requirements related to data handling and reporting.
