Morrison-Maierle Lighting Designer in Bend, Oregon

Morrison-Maierle’s Buildings Market Group is in search of an experienced Lighting Designer to complement our already strong electrical engineering division in our Bend, Oregon office.

Morrison-Maierle has an integrated approach to our engineering design process. We offer multiple disciplines to our clients to ensure they get the most comprehensive end-product. This is a new position that would lead our lighting department. Our clients span from education to medical, and everything in between.

Opportunity: This full-time position is for a motivated professional who desires a presence in the area’s building market and has enthusiasm for helping us grow as an employee-owner of our company.

  • Designing lighting plans: light fixture layouts, lighting calculations, photometric lighting analysis, lighting controls.

  • Works with design team to select appropriate light fixtures, fitting project budget, performance, and aesthetic.

  • Performs daylighting design, understanding the user and aesthetic impacts

  • Balance aesthetic design, health (including psychological benefits); as they relate to each project and environment.

  • Understands on how lighting integrates with MEP, architecture, and interior design, by understanding how things interact and coordinate.

  • Managing budgets, schedules, and deliverables

  • Leading business development pursuits

  • Leading, managing and mentoring junior engineers

  • Coordinating with Architectural Clients.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical, lighting, interior or architectural design preferred.

  • Preferred Capability

  • Ability to hand-sketch and produce renderings (visuals)

  • Revit

  • AGi32

  • Adobe Creative Suite

  • LEED

  • Lighting certificate like LC or similar

Salary: $65,000 - $95,000 with a competitive bonus compensation program
