STARLIGHT SECURITY INC CAD Designer (Computer Aided Design Designer) in Beltsville, Maryland

We are seeking a talented and creative CAD Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 2D and/or 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will work closely with engineers, architects, or other product development professionals to translate their designs into technical drawings and models.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.) to create detailed and accurate 2D drawings and/or 3D models.
  • Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and blueprints to ensure designs meet requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other project stakeholders to refine designs and address technical issues.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including assembly drawings, part drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Conduct design reviews and identify potential problems or areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest CAD software advancements and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in CAD design using relevant software (experience requirements may vary).
  • Proficiency in creating detailed and accurate 2D drawings and/or 3D models.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design principles and drafting practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and other departments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
