CITY OF BELOIT Equipment Operator-Streets in BELOIT, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of Beloit has an employment opportunity in the Operations Division of the Department of Public Works and is currently accepting applications for the position of an Equipment Operator- Streets. This position is responsible for performing semi-skilled manual labor either as an individual or in a team related to the street maintenance and repair programs of city streets and Right of Way (ROW). Work involves heavy manual labor. Duties include, but are not limited to, street maintenance and repair work, operating snow removal equipment, grounds maintenance, and light maintenance and repair work. This position typically works Monday through Thursday from 6:30a.m. to 3:30p.m. and Fridays from 6:30a.m. to 10:30a.m. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. High School Diploma or equivalent 2. A valid driver\'s license and satisfactory driving record 3. A minimum of one (1) year of responsible work experience, with experience in streets maintenance and repair preferred 4. Class B Commercial Driver\'s License (CDL), or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire 5. \"N\" tank vehicle endorsement for CDL, or the ability to obtain the \"N\" tank vehicle endorsement within six (6) months of hire 6.
