In Power Conversion Latin America we serve specialized sectors such as Oil and Gas, Mining, Metals, Offshore Marine and Power Utilities. We aspire to offer outstanding solutions to our customers that include a world class Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain and related Services. We have two main sites, one in Campinas which is primarily a Rotating Machines factory and one in Belo Horizonte which is primarily where our Power Systems integration business resides.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the General Manager to continuously improve the company's financial performance with regards to Order Intake and Order Margins, Revenue and executed Margins, Gross Margin, EBITDA and Free Cash Flow.

  • Oversee the financial operations of the company, including budgeting (three-year strategic plan and one-year operational plan), forecasting, and financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually).

  • Proactively provide guidance and leadership to the management team with regards to operational topics as well as long term strategic areas, and actively seek the closure of outlined action plans.

  • Active engagement and collaboration with the project management director and service director throughout the entire execution phase of our projects and services to ensure a timely and profitable completion, revenue recognition and billing.

  • Focus on margin improvement- and productivity-initiatives across the entire value chain including commercial, engineering, supply chain, project management and services.

  • Partner closely with the commercial director and service director to advance the company on its ongoing path towards profitable orders growth.

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Ensure that the company's financial statements are accurate and prepared in accordance with accounting standards, monthly close according to US GAAP, yearly close according to local statutory regulations. There are three main legal entities the Region CFO will be responsible for Ge Vernova Equipamentos e Soluções Elétricas LTDA, GE Power Conversion Brasil LTDA and IDT Chile SA

  • Manage the company's financial risks including overseeing the projects/system business as well as the service portfolio including identifying and addressing areas of concern.

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks and auditors.

  • Lead a team of approx. 12 finance professionals across two sites (Campinas and Belo Horizonte), providing guidance and support as required. Responsible for commercial finance, project controlling, supply chain finance/variable cost controlling, FP&A and dotted line controllership/accounting and tax.

  • Support the implementation of a LEAN- and continuous improvement-driven culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • Professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA) preferred

  • Hands-on and proactive attitude, willing to engage in operational topics

  • Strong understanding of Brazil accounting principles, financial regulations and tax rules

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven track record of managing financial risks and implementing financial policies

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
