The extruder operator and role entails maintenance and cleaning of a manual machine in a plastics manufacture. This requires experience with manual machining and a mechanically inclined individual. There is high attention to detail! 2nd and 3rd shift openings 2nd shift 3pm-11pm and 3rd shift 11pm-7:30am This is a physically demanding role that would requiring lifting up to 40+ lbs

Report at assigned station five minutes prior to start of shift Stay at work station until relieved by next shift operator. Take breaks according to standard break schedule At the beginning of shift, verify and collect necessary tools required to perform assigned tasks Verify at the beginning of shift that all guards and drain guards are properly in place Ensure 2500 gallon fresh water tanks are full or are being filled Walk entire line of wash line to ensure material is flowing in a consistent manner Ensure all wash tanks have an even level for tanks 1-7 Ensure heater and heater blowers 1-5 are functioning properly Fines tanks 1 and 2 water levels must be maintained to a minimum of at least half full Excessive material in fines tanks must be removed Down hill screens will be kept clean by pressure washing as needed Shaker screen will be kept clean at all times Empty screen trash hoppers as needed Ensure boiler water temperatures are maintained, notify Team Leader if not Periodically check 400 tank during shift Check the conditions of filters for proper ventilation Monitor bag house for proper functioning and inform Team Leader of excessive fill up in bags Fill the defoamant tank at end of shift Fill out all check sheets timely and accurately At the end of shift, ensure all tools are returned to designated area Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
