This position is for a Maintenance Technician with a company in Belmont, MS.

Summary: Tempur Sealy is hiring for a 1st shift maintenance technician at our Belmont, MS facility. The Maintenance Technician is a multi-skilled craftsperson responsible for the installation/start-up and troubleshooting of all mechanical and electrical processes used in manufacturing, as well as support equipment located in the building or on the grounds-the objective being to maximize production and functional longevity and appearance of the building, grounds and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities: Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all plant machinery, equipment, building and grounds. Utilize 5s in the workplace, be cognizant of and use continuous improvement activities and practices, support and utilize effective root cause analysis, PM, TPM, and Best Maintenance Practices. Follow proscribed 5-S policies' including insuring workplace is clean at the end of job, project, or workday * Fabricate and install special equipment as needed. Perform maintenance, administrative, production, or other duties as assigned. Perform and improve PM inspections, TPM events, and machinery knowledge database support. Meet or exceed all safety required items 5S, PPE, Forktruck training, aerial lift training, LOTO, and individual awareness training.

Education and Experience: High level working knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and failure diagnostics. Extensive knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repair of AC and DC drives, motor controls, PLC equipment, controls, and electro/mechanical devices. In the areas of pneumatic and hydraulic systems use applied knowledge of PM's, diagnostics, and trouble shooting. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams ability to use basic sketches to convey ideas. Working knowledge of basic shop tools and machinery to properly use and direct the use of welders, oxy-acetylene torch, band saws, drill press, and hand tools. Develop knowledge of blade change procedures to the extent that the knowledge is used to train operators, write procedures, and diagnose problems. Ability to install and maintain equipment, machinery, motors, drives, conveyors, switches, blades, bearings, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems. General knowledge and experience with chemical process systems including but not limited to pumps, valves, piping, control devices, gauges, and regulators is a plus. Experience working with 480, 240 and 110v, DC power, and control circuits. Mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic experience is a must. 3 to 4 years plant manufacturing experience preferred. Able to work all shifts, if needed Arc Flash experience preferred. Two year technical degree, Vocational, or Apprenticeship Program preferred. H.S. Diploma or GED required. Ability to install and maintain equipment, machinery, motors, drives, conveyors, switches, blades, bearings, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
