The Water Resources{rel="nofollow"} (WR) *program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a *Senior Water Resources Compliance Specialist (Environmental Specialist 4) position. This position is located in our Bellingham Field Office (BFO) in Bellingham, WA{rel="nofollow"}. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

In this position, located at Ecology's Bellingham Field Office, you will provide technical assistance, seek voluntary compliance, and pursue formal enforcement actions to manage water resources and ensure compliance with state water law, primarily in Whatcom County. This includes field work opportunities, especially during the summer months, and an opportunity to work alongside a fantastic team of Water Resources staff. Agency Mission: *Ecology's mission is to protect, preserve and enhance the environment for current and future generations.  *  Program Mission: *The mission of the Water Resources Program is to support sustainable water resources management to meet the present and future water needs of people and the natural environment, in partnership with Washington communities.  *Please Note: This is a temporary position that will end on March 01, 2026.
