About the PositionThe Administrative Assistant & Scholarship Coordinator, under the direction of the Dean, provides support and assistance for the purpose of facilitating the day-to-day operations of the College office, including administrative support, and committee support, while also facilitating the scholarship processes within the College of the Environment. This position is primarily in person on campus, not remote.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of high-level clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience

  • Demonstrated expertise with Excel, Word, Outlook, and video conferencing platforms

  • Strong technical skills, including ability to become proficient with software applications with limited training

  • Demonstrated expertise with administrative support functions such as scheduling, call routing, forms processing and drafting correspondence

  • Demonstrated experience with fiscal or budgeting processes in a business/office setting

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task to meet deadlines in a work environment with frequent interruptions

  • Willingness to adapt to changes in workflow processes and policies

  • Ability to complete administrative tasks with attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative for daily work

  • Ability to establish and maintain a friendly, cooperative team environment with an inclusive group of students, faculty and staff

  • Demonstrated ability to employ discretion in communication and maintain confidentiality

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with coordinating travel arrangements

  • Experience working with document sharing and data archiving platforms

  • Experience with large scale event coordination

  • Demonstrated record of high reliability and attendance

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated excellence in working effectively and collaboratively with diverse populations of students, faculty, staff, and the public

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing administrative support to college students and faculty in a higher education environment

  • Experience with database management systems

  • Experience with Powerpoint

  • Demonstrated expertise with Banner and Millennium FAST
