About the team

When customers shop online, handling the delivered package is their first physical contact with the order. The MSP organization works backwards from this customer experience to deploy packaging technologies that harmonize with Amazon’s priorities on safety, productivity, sustainability, regulatory risk, and cost. We develop mechanisms to match our expanding product catalog to the finite set of boxes available in our fulfillment centers (FCs). We own initiatives that replace traditional corrugate boxes with less wasteful options, including flexible pack types (padded and unpadded) and forgoing Amazon packaging altogether (“Ship In Product Packaging”, SIPP). We design and deploy automated packing technologies across our network, to augment labor productivity and eliminate safety hazards by reducing manual work. Lastly, we are the source of packaging information for various internal stakeholders, including forecasts for operational/financial planning, and positioning for public corporate communications (e.g., shareholder disclosures).

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  • 4+ years of software development, or 4+ years of technical support experience
