Duties:

 

Work with video game design, Unity, and Unity canvas components to build the next generation of online multiplayer games for Meta's Oculus Quest. Create clear UX flows and UI designs from layout to prototyping, rapid iteration and review, to final quality for each release. Work with various 2D/3D Software packages. Help drive a consistent visual language within the UI and a standardized approach to implementation. Create core game features, including storylines, role-play mechanics, and character biographies for augmented reality/virtual reality (AR) gameplay. Develop gameplay experiences to ensure the critical and commercial success of the Oculus Quest product. Document all aspects of formal game design, using mock-up screenshots, sample menu layouts, gameplay flowcharts, and other graphical devices. Work in a fast-paced rapidly iterative AAA Studio and on live service titles including A/B testing UI flows and with the art and engineering teams to guide creative and engine-efficient solutions for the UI. Collaborate with tools and engine teams to continually improve upon our custom workflows and technology. Solicit, obtain, and integrate feedback from designers and engineers into original game design. Conduct regular design reviews throughout the game development process.

 

Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Game Design, Computer Graphics, Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following: 1. 3D and 2D art creation software such as Maya, Photoshop, Unity, Sketch or Illustrator; 2. Coding in one of the following industry-standard languages: C#, C, C++, or Java; 3. Game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine; 4. Creating custom shaders using tools such as Shader Graph or HLSL; 5. Creating real time UI animations both using code and built-in Unity tools.
