Actalent Structural Engineer in Bellevue, Washington

Description:

Actalent is hiring a Structural Engineer with at least 5 years of applicable experience to support engineering and design of USACE infrastructure projects. The team primarily supports large moveable structures such locks, spillways, dam and reservoir projects. A Professional Engineer license is required. Candidate will need to be proficient in structural design and analysis, producing calculations, quality control, and partnering with engineers across disciplines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • BS in civil/structural engineering required (master's degree preferred)

  • 5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification required

  • Experience with current structural design methods, codes and standards

  • Experience with structural concrete and steel design

  • Experience developing structural drawings

  • Experience with tools such as SAP2000, SAFE, LPILE GROUP

  • Working knowledge of BIM, and/or CAD software platforms

  • Working knowledge of 3D FEA structural analysis computer design tools

  • Demonstrated educational and relevant work experience showing strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
