Job Duties: AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Silicon Design Engineer to Research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Plan, design, develop and/or test software systems for software enhancements and new products. Set operational specifications and formulate and/or analyze software requirements. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Exercise wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments. Participate in code reviews, creating unit tests, authoring detailed documentation related to your work, and working with on-site and offshore teams to deliver the software solutions on schedule. Partake in all phases of the software development including system requirements analysis, coordinating feature design and development across functional and organization boundaries. Profile and optimize the SOTA Language models on the latest AMD graphics hardware. Explore and integrate multimodal models to understand situational context from multiple modalities like image, audio, video, 3D landmarks for gaming use cases. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

 

Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronic Engineering and Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

 

Position Requires:

 

Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

  • Deep learning frameworks (Pytorch, JAX, TensorFlow, or Keras);
  • Python or C++;
  • Git and Docker;
  • Software debugging;
  • Code optimization using GPU or software performance analysis;
  • Train and evaluate natural language processing models;
  • Deploy and scale Machine learning models;
  • Machine learning cloud services (Google cloud, AWS -- Sagemaker, Lambda, S3, or ECR); and
  • Agile Methodology & Software development lifecycle (SDLC).
