Amazon’s Transportation Risk and Compliance Team (TRC) protects Amazon’s various transportation businesses by implementing scalable risk management solutions that foster continued business growth. To support the business, we build tools to manage the audit experience that are integrated with our transportation partners. We leverage data to manage continuous, independent and objective, risk-based control validation that reduce overall risk while driving outcomes and improving operational efficiencies. We build scalable solutions that grow with the Amazon business.

We are building world class technology cutting across deep algorithmic problems, brand new tools that cater to multi-party business scenarios and challenging data models that are evolving very quickly. Our systems audit across a multitude of transportation segments and modes both within and across international borders.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, innovative product leader who thrives in dealing with ambiguity and able to independently drive efforts to change the “impossible” to possible. We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Product Manager (Technical) to drive the development, maintenance, evaluation, and enhancement of technical products that optimize compliance reviews and audits of Amazon’s transportation business while providing the best experience possible for our customers. The Sr. PMT will get first-hand experience of the Amazon operations by interacting directly with our global stakeholders, set an operational vision, get alignment from cross-functional leadership, then develop the detailed product designs. You will ensure that proactive risk mitigation requirements are clear, thorough, and “future proofed” to allow our transportation businesses to scale in support of worldwide launch activities, and bring that vision to light through working with the engineering teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
